"We had a lovely weekend stay at this apartment. It was spotlessly clean, modern and very comfortable-perfect for a relaxing getaway. The kitchen was well-equipped, the beds were cosy and the whole place had a fresh, welcoming feel. The only small thing we noticed was that there weren’t many mirrors, which would have been handy-but that didn’t take away from the overall great experience. Would definitely stay again! "

"Receptionist didn’t smile once on check in and wasn’t very friendly. I spoke to a different receptionist in the morning and was extremely helpful and friendly. The spa is lovely just needs more availability for treatments. It was very limited. Hotel was lovely room was lovely."

"Very convenient for early Southend airport departure. Restaurant however very basic. Chips clearly fried from frozen, etc. Rooms a bit dated. Nice big bed, but tiny tv on wall? Our sink would not drain. Clearly blocked pipes. When reported in the morning, the duty officer making the bog standard comment "oh, I will make a note", before turning back to whatever he was doing before. Forgotten already..."

"We arrived on the hottest weekend of the year and our room had no AC. However, the staff had prepared the room the best they could, a fan, curtain closed etc. and it was fine. We were in the refurbished side and the room was lovely, clean and modern. The breakfast buffet wasn’t great - limited continental and low quality hot items. Staff were friendly and efficint. I would recommend this hotel for its lovely room, parking and close to town."

"Unfortunately, there was an event in the nearby conference centre which meant that a large crowd gathered, who had been drinking, the inevitable fighting commenced and the police had to attend and there was damage to some of the guests’ cars. It appears that this is not the first time this has happened when these sorts of groups book out the conference centre. On top of this, there was a mix up with the room, despite the fact that I had a face-face conversation with a member of staff to make sure the correct room was allocated before the check-in date. The hotel itself is clean but does need updating as it is looking tired. The staff themselves were very helpful and tried to help however they could when our problems arose. At this point in time, I would not recommend a stay mainly due to the problems caused by guests the conference centre, which the hotel itself has no control over."
