The staff were friendly and the property quiet the first night as we were the only ones there. On the second night it was full and you hear everything and feel every slam of the door. Also the guests along with the owner were all having a laugh as something has "f***ing* broken and we had to listen to the language and the disappointment that we had booked that room and their other friends couldn't stay.
Unfortunately, it didn't live up to its high rating as basics are not maintained. The whole plumbing system needs an overhaul as the toilet cistern ran most of the time. We had to wait 20 minutes for hot water the first morning and didn't have any at all the second night onwards. The heating system was sometimes hot but not on in the evening when it was cooler. Our bathroom is an outside extension so very cold and the very effective electric towel radiator is not big enough to heat it so the extractor has to stay on for hours. It all needs a good service and some TLC.
