"Quiet, clean sheets and room. Bathroom ceiling was peeling, room worn like a college town hotel but staff nice. Needed to stop and sleep on our trip and this hotel worked for the night. Typical hotel breakfast you find across the country -bacon, sausage patty, scrambled eggs, toast and waffles."
"Paid $120+ for the room for one night, and it was the dirtiest hotel I ever stayed at in my life. My stay only lasted 6 hours because I was so grossed out. The toilet had pubic hairs on/in it, as well as easily removable stains, and even feces/urine on the seat. The shower/tub was filled with easily removable stains and hair from a prior guest. The bed had hair from a prior guest in it as well. There was some kind of pile of beads ( scented beads?) on the floor. Very obvious they don't clean the rooms between guest as evidenced by the leftover filth and lack of vacuuming. It was so dirty, I'm actually convinced it hasn't been cleaned in months, not just since the last guest. Sucks because I stayed here to shower and feel clean on a long road trip, and I left feeling dirtier than I did before I checked in. Felt so dirty that when I left, I actually changed out of the clothes I wore while in the hotel into new clothes, so I wouldn't dirty my brand new car. Literally I would've been better off sleeping in my car for the night. Plus, I was directed to use the stairwell, as apparently there aren't working elevators. Run down place, very creepy, very minimal lighting in the hallways. The sign with the name of the hotel on it is missing on the outside. Minimal lighting outside of the hotel at night. I was actually scared staying here, it seemed like something out of a horror movie from TV.... I actually couldn't believe it. Luckily, I stayed here with my boyfriend."
Holiday Inn Express Mount Pleasant-Scottdale by IHG
10/10 Excellent
"Breakfast was excellent. Three kinds of fresh fruit and a variety of yogurt were appreciated. And all of the meats, eggs, gravy and biscuits were prepared very well. The cinnamon rolls are always a treat. Breakfast alone is a major reason to stay. Thanks"
"This hotel appeared to be under some renovation. In our room there was a crack in the window, water on the floor under the window after rain, missing lightbulb in lamp, unable to plug in another lamp due to not enough outlets. There were very strong, uninviting odors in the lobby and throughout the hotel when we arrived and at various times throughout the weekend. Overall disappointed with our stay. In the past I have had much better experience with Wingate by Wyndam."
