Be prepared to ponder if you are entering a modern terrace house with nothing identifying it as a place for you to stay. "Parking was free and easy. The staff was polite and helpful and efficient. The room was clean and easy to access, although the use of mechanical keys meant only one key per room, but that wasn't an issue for us. The breakfast was simple, but hot with a few options, not just muffins and toast. A quick walk to the bus station allowed access to the city at a low price. Restaurants and services were also a few minutes walk away. The best part was the helpful and friendly staff. Every request...

"I stayed at Victoria Inn for a couple of days during the week, as I just needed somewhere to sleep. The purpose was functional and the hotel delivered against the expectation, no thrills, no spills, just a room and nice staff."

"The lodge was very convenient to Gatwick, the train station and the town. We had requested a ground floor room and received it along with early check in. Bathroom is tiny with no shelf space for toiletries. There were no hooks or hangers which was awkward. Maybe our expectations are different, but we had a total of one bath towel each for two nights - no hand towel or bath mat either. We did not have breakfast so can't comment on that."
