"Room was a great size (twin room) and the staff were friendly. However, when I asked for a hair dryer, the staff member said it would take 10-15 mins to find one elsewhere in the hotel. He didn’t come back to me. The bar is nice and has a lovely patio with views of swans swimming in the Thames. My other gripe was that likely due to the age of the building, any time somebody walked past our room we could hear creaking floorboards. I recommend the hotel for its proximity to the airport....

"We really liked the spa facilities, both pools are excellent I also really liked the sauna and jacuzzi very clean and never too many people. The entertainment was excellent on both nights. Want to give a particular thanks to Georgia who led our dance session on the Thursday morning. It was such a laugh and the time flew by. We also really liked the boat trip which was great value at only £12.50 and Ahmed was a fab skipper. Food in the Market Kitchen was not great especially Thursday evening....

"While we could overlook that the hotel was a little tired, staff were excellent, I was disappointed around the transparency about the pool rules and access for kids. Described as family friendly kids were limited to very restricted hours and space in the pool and unable to use the outdoor pool area and required to use the disabled toilet as a change room. It gave the impression that kids were a hinderance to the target, adult market of the spa. We booked the hotel especially because of the pool....

"Really nice hotel. Comfy bed. Didn’t use but the gym and swimming pool looked great. Breakfast was lovely - and Julie (one of the team clearing away breakfasts) is a superstar. She was incredibly helpful and friendly all whilst working like a demon (a real asset to the hotel!)"

Breakfast had an exceptional range of options from traditional full English, continental and fruit as well as pancakes. Check out was just as great and staff were super nice as we left"

"Nice, old classy place, well kept with up to date furniture and a mini frig stocked with free snacks and drinks, but the advertised free self-parking is only in the street, which fills up quickly. They have a small front yard where a few vehicles can park after checking in for a cost of ten (10) British pounds."

"Super clean and cosy room. It was ready upon arrival and staff was very helpful in explaining the property and pub / restaurant area. Room does not have AC but had a fan and brought another upon request, as well as blackout curtains. (For those traveling from US, not many pubs and older dwellings have AC like we do in the states). We arrived when it was above 30c) We had great food during our stay and were able to enjoy long hikes in the park and super convenient spot to our friends I the area."
