A couple of issues like the pool being closed for a repaint for a couple of days. This is as out of their hands though so not the hotel’s fault. They were wonderful and gave us a free upgrade to compensate for the lack of pool. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable and relaxing. They were happy for us to have an extra hour the next day as we had slept in, The bed was far too comfortable. It was the best night’s sleep we have ever experienced. We didn’t have breakfast but the breakfast area was modern and had plenty of space. The interiors were modern and well kept. There was a little bit of paint that needed a new coat due to peeling in the bathroom behind the door but that was the only possible thing that could be done to improve the interior that we saw. It certainly made no difference to our stay. They had decorators in doing some upkeep other rooms so I am sure they are making sure they keep their high standards. The service is that of a five star hotel. They really go that extra mile. Even calling us a taxi for an event we were attending, without hesitation. The staff were extremely friendly, so much so, that we would not hesitate in staying here again. They are a huge asset to Holiday Inn. Infact, I was extremely impressed with the interior design, the bar and restaurant area looked very up to date and well maintained. Book, you won’t be disappointed.
