"We arrived late at night. The receptionist (I believe he’s the owner) sent me a message ahead of time to confirm the reservation and arrival time. The rooms were in good condition. The buffet breakfast was served on the 5th floor with excellent options. We checked out at 12pm and were allowed to stay in the lobby with our things until the transportation picked us up after 4 hrs or so. The owner even helped us in contacting our transport since they were late. "

"I arrived early in the morning off of the sleeper train from Hanoi. They let me drop my bags in one of the shared areas of the property and then let me check into my room early. My room was great, it was the perfect size with a great view of the mountains. The shower was nice and hot…perfect for coming home from the cold rainy weather. "None of the listed amenities actually exist. No pool. No spa. Horrible location way out on the edge of town. On the positive side, the girl at the front desk was very helpful. She helped me get a train ticket out of Lao Cai. I was going to stay three nights but left after one. Also the bed was nice and comfortable after a few weeks of hard traveling. Oh, and there was supposed to be a free breakfast but there was no cook so it consisted of a cup of really bad cold coffee. Unless you just...
