Chateau was beautiful and grounds varied. Room had air con which was perfect as temperature was 36c most days. Room was spacious and well maintained. Menu disappointing as the same each night, which meant travelling to Tours for dinner. Pool was a bonus and quiet most days.

Over the top exeperience

We wanted to have one chateau stay as a cap-stone event accommodation to our trip to France, and this exceeded our expectations. The price was extremely reasonable. We visited Chateau de Villandry, which is only 15 minutes away. The room was spectacular and the service is exceptional. The breakfast each morning was well worth the price, but the dinner was truly amazing. Without a doubt, this was our top dining experience in France, including wonderful meals in Paris, Bayeux and Brittany.

Overall very good indeed but a wedding overshadowed service and facilities for guests on Saturday evening. There were no sitting rooms reserved. The bar was shut. China cups in the bedroom would be an improvement on paper ones. The restaurant food was superb on Friday evening.

The Chateau is beautiful and the staff is wonderful in every way. The bar experience was wonderful as well as the gastronomic dinners. Would have liked to use the pool but it was closed during our stay. Recommendations for a local wine tasting event was fantastic. Traveling distance to Loire Valley Chateaus was pleasant.

A wonderful surprise coming to this lovely, historic Abbey. Wonderful staff, beautiful interior. So much history! Only negative was a strong moldy smell in main building. Not any issues other than that. We had a lovely time.

If in Loire, go there!

A wonderful castle with very helpful staff! Beautiful sleeping and dining rooms. Good breakfast and dinner. The only issue was a poorly marked and much too hard speed bump, which cost us new shock absorbers, car rental and some valuble time. We were assured that this would be improved, and if so happens, there is really nothing we would want changed!

We like the property and grounds and we’re thankful our room had air conditioning. The absence of a lift and vastly overpriced restaurant for an unimpressive meal let the place down. On the other hand it’s very near a great supermarket and Luynes town which has a great padaria. Overall good but far from excellent!

This hotel offers a wonderful stay with a great dinner restaurant and a nice swimming pool, but our second-floor room was extremely hot. Although the hotel provided a fan, it was not adequate to cool the room down, resulting in us not getting much sleep due to the heat. The bathroom and entrance area had no ventilation or windows that could be opened, which added to the overall heat issue. While the dinner food is very tasty and the pool is clean and refreshing, you do need to walk down a fairly steep hill to reach the pool, and the breakfast has a limited choice of food. What We Liked - Excellent Dinner: The food at the restaurant is delicious. Nice Pool: The swimming pool area is clean and very enjoyable. What Needs Improvement Unbearable Room Heat: The second-floor room gets too hot to sleep in. The bathroom and entrance area to the room have no airflow or openable windows. A basic fan is not enough to cool the space down. Final Verdict I would stay here if you want a great dinner, a nice pool, and plan to visit during cooler months. Avoid it during hot weather if you need a cool room to sleep or have trouble walking up steep hills.
