"Overall a nice stay at El Refugio La Casa de Don Tomas. The room is big and quiet and the location is roughly 10 minutes away from city center. Keep in mind that the rooms have no air conditioning so they get quite stuffy during the day. The breakfast is quite disappointing as it’s very basic. The sweet treats are very good which makes it overall a bit strange that the meal offering is so basic."

I got sick during my stay, and the front desk was kind enough to help me call a local taxi so I could get to a clinic. Overall, I would highly recommend this place to my friends. "Staff very helpful and friendly, although no English. Happy to converse using translation tools. Swimming pool was closed due to it being winter, which I didn’t reslise when I booked. A couple of times there was no water, no electricity and no wifi, but staff worked to resolve the issue. Breakfast was very good and there was free tea, coffee and iced drinking water available all day. I didn’t have supper at the hotel but did have some drinks at the bar by the open fire which was welcoming...
