"This place is a bit further out from Pisa, but we still had a really nice stay and made the most of it. It’s great value for money, which was a big plus.
The hotel itself is a little old-fashioned, but honestly, the staff more than made up for it—they were super friendly and welcoming the whole time. The restaurant was also a highlight, with really tasty food that we enjoyed a lot.
It’s a good spot if you’ve got a car and want to explore the nearby villages and surrounding area."

"Nice stay, strategically positioned between Pisa and Lucca. Need a car to reach the train station. Our stay was in Autumn and we didn't try the swimming pool"

"A very nice experience in a lovely town. The hostess was very accomadating. She let us arrive earlier than expected and was very informative for parking. Despite it was a Saturday and a holiday it was very quiet for a good nights sleep. Coffee at breakast was some of the best around."

"La Mezzaluna is a short walk from Barga Gallicano train station, and buses to Lucca. Rita is amazingly hospitable & welcoming, and did so much to make our stay enjoyable. Rooms are very nice, buffet breakfast set us up for the day.
There is a bus up to Barga during the day, and a taxi back in evening. If you visit Barga, this is the place to stay. "

"We had a great stay! The room was even bigger than it looked online - lovely to have so much space! We arrived early and were able to check in just before 1pm which was amazing 🙂 30-minute walk to the Leaning Tower! "

"The property is in a great location near the Duomo and leaning tower of Pisa. The terrace has a great view of the buildings and also has a very good restaurant.
The rooms and hotel felt tired and since we went to the hotel in the first week of May, the air conditioning was not available. The room was warm even with the window open . The bed and pillows were just ok.
Breakfast was very good. Large selection of food choices."
"Clean and spacious as advertised. Location is abit far from the leaning tower, 20+ minutes walk and you need to go through a traffic tunnel. Our pre checkin communications were apparently handled by AI so it was a bit repetitive. But all in all, it was good value for the money. "
"We got a decent room and it was very spacious however overall the room had a really weird layout and it seemed like they had converted a form of balcony for the bathroom and the shower was extremely tiny. The bathroom was like 1st to sink in a shower room and then a toilet but then in order to get to the toilet you’d have to get your feet wet because the shower was just so tiny that there was water all over the floor, but other than that, the staff were friendly. It looks a bit dodgy from the outside but overall decent stay for a short break. I only stayed for one night."
"We thoroughly loved our trip to Pisa and this hotel. You couldn’t ask for a better located hotel to see all that Pisa has to offer. Our room was modest but more than adequate for the two of us. It could get noisy at night but that was mostly the other guests and not the hotels fault. The staff were welcoming and friendly. I would highly recommend!"
"Great location near the beach, nice and relaxing. We went as a family (4 children) so room were great, we got the two bedroom with two bathrooms, which is more than sufficient - everyone was happy.
Loved breakfast and we did eat at the restaurant, food was plentiful.
They had spa facilities, gym and an indoor heated pool unfortunately could not use as we didn't book in advance (pro tip to book when you reserve).
There is also an outdoor pool and bikes available to go around.
If you have a car there is ample parking available as well."
"The breakfast was fantastic! The staff made us fresh eggs every day. The buffet was large and varied. The room was large and very comfortable. We had a great view of the beach and sea shore. The front desk staff were very helpful with advice. We enjoyed our stay."
