The location of the hotel is not only at walking distance to all major sightseeing in Funchal, but also have tour operator options nearby and within the hotel itself. "Wir hatten einen rundum gelungenen Aufenthalt auf Madeira. Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral, sodass man vieles bequem zu Fuß erreichen kann. Das Personal war ausgesprochen freundlich und hilfsbereit – wir haben uns von Anfang an willkommen gefühlt. Die Zimmer waren modern eingerichtet, sehr sauber und gepflegt. "Loved this hotel! Stunning views from the balcony, brilliant staff, food was pretty good and served warmer than you often get in all inclusive, so that was great. Entertainment in the bar every night. Two pools and a jacuzzi. Rooms were large with comfortable seating and a large telly. Balcony is great. Just 2 draw backs, the beds are quite hard, and there are fans rather than air-conditioning, so the nights can be warm, but that is definitely a price worth paying!"

"We have stayed at the Pestana Lido every time visiting Madeira. It has the best location, wonderful staff and excellent food and drinks. You are literally surrounded by amazing ocean views from every room. We love the personal service due to its smaller size hotel. "

"Beautiful property with plants everywhere. A place to relax and chill amongst butterflies and plants! Staff and kind and attentive. Management respond to any issues (our frying pan needed replacing and they did after I fed it back. Breakfast has a good variety. The restaurant is nothing massively remarkable but a great thing to have close by as there are not many other places to eat in the area within walking distance. "
