"Please save yourself the disappointment and never stay at this hotel! I thought we were getting a nice modern hotel with a pool and an inviting fireplace. Rushed to get there hoping to jump in the pool and then relax by the fire. Got there with a ton of bags and was told that there was no elevator in service and so we had to lug everything up a flight of stairs. Got done with that and got ready to swim at 8:45...Went downstairs only to be told that the pool closes at 9pm. I have never in my life...

"Everything was great except the king bed. It was very firm not the most comfortable."

"Wonderful bed and breakfast"

"Beautiful property inside and out. Innkeeper was knowledgeable and helpful. Hot breakfast was delicious."

"Fantastic homemade breakfast Wonderful host"

"Nice to have coffee and muffins an hour before the excellent breakfast choices. We sat by an outdoor fire one night and played board games the other night. A true retreat from the daily grind. Our two adult children and the two of us slept comfortably in one room that had mutliple beds. Nice to have the option to walk to town as well. Great time!"

"My boyfriend is a total hotel snob from being a business traveler for years. I was so happy he actually agreed to stay here after seeing how high the ratings were on the property. Well he wasn’t disappointed and we loved our stay. The inn owners Karen and Kevin were very personable and friendly. The breakfast was great, eggs Benedict one day, quiche, homemade granola, ext. The inn itself is just lovely with a great fireplace that we sat at after we came back from dinner with some other guests....

"This property is the iconic lake area get away . Staff was welcoming and fun , the restaurant and bar are serving great food and drinks . The complimentary breakfast in the morning was also delicious. Lovely outside veranda deck :)"

"Excellent facilities and very helpful staff, enjoyed the lake view, fireplace and glamorous sheets. Restaurant on-site was great and breakfast was good. Thanks you"

"I was traveling to the area for a wedding at a local resort and spent two great nights at the Colonel Spencer Inn. Hosts Tracy and Jim are kind and respectful and offered to assist with my luggage. I slept very well in the comfortable bed. Even though the weather was less than ideal, it is in a beautiful setting and I want to stay there again. I had two delicious and filling breakfasts and I appreciated the snacks, coffee and tea bar, and beverage fridge filled with water bottles."

"Cozy and friendly."

"Check in was at 4pm, room wasn't ready until after 5pm., no coffeemaker in the room, balcony wolud have been nice if it wasn't covered in bird excrement."

"Excellent breakfast! The hosts are very helpful and friendly!"

"Overall excellent"

"Way overpriced. No type of breakfast. Was in the back building which is a car ride away from office. There are two small windows in room door so someone can look in your room. I woke up to bugs in my cup of water. There was no Mountain View."
