"We keep returning and the property has gotten better since the pandemic. a little disappointed that they now charge for unsecured parking. I like the large rooms for the price but not all rooms in the categories are consistent. We were kindly upgraded after being placed in a room that wasn't consistent with our other stays. Small and not updated. We were very quickly and efficiently made happy which I appreciated. We will return."

"Hyatt house was overall a good experience. There was definitely some pros and cons to choosing this hotel. Some Pros are that they have free breakfast, indoor heated pool, near waterfront and have clean rooms. Some cons are that there’s no on site parking and rely on street meter parking that you pay hourly OR paying valet, and in addition they told us bar hours and when we went the bar was open and would close early. "

"Check in was super simple and the valet parking was easy to manage. My car was ready to go when we got down to the lobby. Staff was very attentive without being overwhelming. "

"Amazing property right on Division. We were in town to see a show at the Tomorrow Theatre across the street so location was 10/10. Easy access to the house/room and the continental breakfast spread was impressive. Would and will book again the next time we stay the night in Portland."

"Property is great. Expect a 60 charge to park your car and nothing your kids will want to eat for breakfast. Hotel is pretty and perfect on the other means"

"I only stayed at this property one night while passing through Portland, but all of my interactions with staff were top-notch (everyone was so kind and helpful!), and my room was nice and well-appointed. The bed and bedding were very comfortable, and I didn’t hear any street noise at all from the 4th floor."

"Very enjoyable stay at the Benson. Staff was super friendly, and the room was comfortable, well appointed, and clean. My only "negative" is that the disabled friendly (no steps) entrance was almost always locked from the outside, even during the day. This was a minor inconvenience for me, as I am mostly mobile, but would have been a major one were I in a wheelchair. Otherwise, it is a fabulous hotel and I would absolutely stay again!"

"Clean spacious room with shower/tun combo. Large TV (bigger than 36” in the room amenities) quiet room coffee and tea service in the room. The only issue I had was the staff not contacting me when my room was available like they said they would and the general woman’s bathroom not having any soap in it and I was told that I it wouldn’t be any soap into the Housekeeping person came in at 2pm (it was around 12pm) I was offered sanitizer that was at the front desk for the workers but had barely any...

"There is an upcharge for everything with this hotel. It is a nice hotel, but nothing is included, and these charges are not transparent in the descriptions about the hotel. You only find out when you arrive."

"Was under construction, which meant the restaurant hours were effected by this and also in room dining. Not a luxury experience at all having to pay a resort fee seemed totally unnecessary I’d say considering. Won’t be giving this property another try which is a same as it’s a very historic Portland location but under new ownership and has lost all of its magic. "
