"We had a wonderful stay at Casa do Mercado during our visit to Lisbon. Located in the southeast corner of the Chiado neighborhood, the property is within easy walking distance of many popular sights and restaurants, including the Time Out Market, Lisbon Cathedral, and the Rua Augusta Arch. The B&B was beautifully furnished, reasonably priced, and—especially important during our visit—had excellent air conditioning. It reached nearly 100 degrees one day, so we really appreciated it! Despite...

"The location was between major attractions. It definitely needed an Uber trolley to and from places as it was up hill. The Uber was more convenient than the trolley to the train station. The beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was available but required you to order and would take 30 minutes for 10 Euros. We did not have breakfast with them. We walked up the street to a bakery. We had two bedroom suite which was ideal with two teenagers. Everyone had their space. We enjoyed our day trip to...

"Wrong dates and lack of communication via email prior to check in time and had to scramble and reach out to Expedia through the help of the realtor office on the corner of the street. If my phone number was missing to begin with, what is wrong with a follow up via email regarding check-in process or procedures."

"We had the opportunity to stay in Lisbon at Santa Bica for about 5 days and it was honestly incredible and truly the best stay we have ever had. From the moment we got there earlier than check in, we were greeted with such sweet and welcoming staff. We were able to keep our bags in our room earlier and explore the city. We met the manager Bruno, and it truly felt like you were being welcomed by a friend. Our room was so clean and it was so cool that our room opened up to the restaurant balcony...

"This is a charming old property. The front is very heavy and opens into an entry hall with nobody around. Go up one floor and there is a reception desk. I loved the old elevator and spiral stairs. However, the lights go out automatically so you have click the switch in hall when you enter or exit. I loved it."

"The staff could have smiled more and been more welcoming. We felt like we were bothering them by checking out. They charge extra for coffee, if I pay 800 dollars to stay at your hotel, coffee should be complimentary."

"PRO: Great location, close to best parts of Lisbon and near though not "on" a river as in Expedia description. Historic building with AC. Left treats each day, though 1st day items (nuts and cheese) were not fresh. CON: Trouble checking in as they had asked for my phone number but not specified using WhatsApp. Not all questions answered by Host. Room on "2nd floor" was actually on 3rd floor via 45 steps. MISSING DOOR HANDLE on the outside of the room, so to close it when leaving I had to reach...

"This is the second time I stay in this hotel and every time I come back to Lisbon I plan to stay there. In both occasions I loved my stay. Thank you for everything."
