"The room was great and the staff was so helpful! Everything was kept so clean, and we were traveling with family so each group having their own room was excellent. Coffee and sake in the lobby was a plus too!"

"This Kyoto hostel completely overturned my impression of local accommodations being typically cramped. Very clean and comfortable. High-quality beddings. The living room was surprisingly spacious—easily accommodating our big group with over ten large suitcases! Located near Fushimi Inari Shrine and Tofukuji Temple, it was very peaceful at night. We had brought thick bedding, worried that Kyoto might be cold, but the rooms were extremely comfortable. "Great hotel in an ideal location. A staff member met us and took us to our room to check us in. The unit had two bedrooms and a large living room area for eating and television. Beautiful room. Great location next to a scenic temple. We had the breakfast in our room. It was tasty and a reasonable price. I highly recommend it! "

"Another good stay. Good basic and clean accommodation, being winter I did find it rather cold this time and could have done with another or thicker duvet but the accommodation itself lacks nothing, well positioned in a nice suburban area of Kyoto close to transport, and it's own shrines and onsens."

"Great spot. Kylie (and the other lady, sorry didn’t get her name) was a great help with local directions and information. The Crysta Mall underground is right there. Amazing hotel, clean and new. Helpful in every way, good food, sight seeing, things to do. Absolutely loved it."

"The house was great and in perfect condition.
Great location as it is 3 min from the Inari shrine and close to the train station which is always helpful.
Nothing to complain about except 1 thing: there was no pool table as shown on the photos and we were not told about it. The guy who gave us the keys told us it is being fixed, which is fine but we would have prefered to know beforehand as we were very excited about it.

"We had a lovely stay at Citadines Namba Osaka. It’s either this hotel is brand new or just recently renovated. The hotel is very clean and well decorated. Love the contemporary decor. Our rooms were spotless and slightly bigger than the usual small hotel rooms typical of Japan. We got the rooms with the little kitchen area. There is a residents lounge on the 6th floor with dining tables and chairs, cups and utensils and an espresso machine (which I really appreciated to help start our day of walking and touring). The hotel is close to restaurants, convenience stores, the Kuromon Fish Market and a fairly short walk to the Namba station, shopping center and the Shinsaibashi shopping street which will eventually take you to Dotonbori. Or you can always hail a taxi outside the hotel if you don’t feel like walking. Very convenient stay overall with excellent service from the staff. We would definitely stay here again. "
"It was an excellent place to stay as it is convenient to go to the other place we plan to go. Mostly require only 30min travelling time, even to Universal Studio Japan. The room is reasonable bigger than other hotels, clean and tidy. Staff are friendly and helpful. "
"Great stay, large clean room, spacious bathroom and nice views on balcony. Easy check in, building was super clean and tidy, close to the train station as well.
Onsen is great but shared with the public too; so it does get busy and with a lot of locals. It’s a really nice facility with sauna, cold bath, honey bath, outside bathtubs and a carbonated bath to name a few.
Overall would definitely stay again and recommend, especially if you’re going to universal. "

What are holiday rentals like in Settsu?
Holiday rentals are privately owned properties you can book for a few days, or a quick weekend, in Settsu. Holiday rentals provide amenities such as WiFi and washers and dryers so you'll have everything you want. If you're concerned about a sanitised environment, holiday rentals can offer a sense of safety away from shared hotel lifts and busy concierge desks while still allowing you to travel. You'll also have more space in a holiday rental than in a traditional hotel, which makes a holiday rental a great option for a family trip.
