We stayed at Hotel Casa Palmela and couldn't have been happier with the staff and our treatment while we were guests. Staff was friendly and could not have been more accommodating! We are eager to return in June for my daughter's wedding!

Absolutely beautiful property and very warm and welcoming team. The food at the restaurant was great. We had a lovely stay!
The property is very beautiful, the staff is friendly and helpful, nice rooms, and delicious food. It needs some amenities on the property, such as a gym, a sauna and a spa.

Very nice setting, menu was limited, service was par very clean, 2 pools adult pool had very limited seating.
This property was beautiful, easy to find and so charming. The staff couldn’t have been more professional. I wish we could have stayed longer. A fantastic hotel!
We planned a one-night stay on our way from Sintra to The Algarve to experience the Arrabida Natural Park and its beautiful beaches. The property and surrounding area was beautiful. We so enjoyed walking through the vineyards and nature trails. Staff was attentive and helpful. Food and wine was delicious, including a great breakfast buffet. Would definitely recommend!
I found this hotel / villa with VIP Access searching through Expedia’s website. It is a hidden gem for those looking for a serene and beautiful environment (with views of vineyards and expansive landscapes). There are bed & breakfast type rooms in the main house, or multi-bedroom villas near the main house. We had a spacious 3 bedroom “house” (Moscatel) with its own courtyard, and a spacious living & dining area on the first floor, and a full European-size refrigerator and kitchen. The hotel is easy to find with Google Map even though it is located within the Parque Natural da Arrabida; it is easy access to Setubal town (a 10 minute drive), grocery stores, beaches, and beautiful scenery. You experience the true Portugal being in a place like this.
I realized upon arrival this hotel is part of the Small Luxury Hotel collection and it is truly reflected in the ambience and services. The staff were all wonderful, being very attentive to all our needs. Jose & Joao welcomed us upon arrival, and helped us settled immediately around noon (even though official check-in was not until much later).
The Zimbral restaurant onsite has a nice diverse menu selection for dinner, and prices are reasonable for its quality and ambience.
There is a walking /biking path on the property; the hotel has only 2 bikes for rent (so reservation is encouraged). You can email the hotel through Expedia messaging; the staff is very responsive and helpful. I highly recommend a stay here.
Wonderful old-style estate converted to hotel--beautiful grounds and surroundings nestled within a winery, with excellent service and dining.

Very nice and helpful staff
We were first given a room which was nice but with a lot of humidity which wasn't ideal with a baby. The staff was very nice and helpful and managed to move us to another room the second day.
Otherwise the hotel and surroundings are really beautiful.
Lovely property - staff expects tips and give major attitude every time you don't tip - it appeared that there was no management onsite - poor service - asked for towels twice - they never came - told in the dining room that bottled wine was unavailable - had to buy by the glass - loved the hotel but staff, other than friendly cleaning lady, were suspect.
Terrible check in, room was dirty and tired, mildew and mould everywhere in grout, fridge was so noisy it sounded like a jack hammer.
We stayed in a Villa at £595 a night.
The beds were so hard it was softer sleeping on a towel.
No towels.
No phone in the room, we had to ask at reception 2x to get a phone. they told us to order room service at reception, this was a 300m walk across the property.
a dog was sleeping in the "courtyard" outside our room there was a dirty dog bed near the front door. the dog would loudly bark at us when coming to room.
The view from the room was of the service area washing machine facilities.
Definitely not 5* possibly 3* at best.
Please bear in mind that this was the most expensive and biggest room in the property.
not a great experience. Luckily hotels.com was able to negotiate us an early checkout refund.
Not what its marketed as.
Stay here if you like rock hard beds and views of laundry facilities next to a busy road.
Staff don't care, the trainee's were very nice and kind though, i think they understood that its mutton dressed up as lamb.
Very budget, there are way better options available closer to Lisbon and you can visit this area on a day trip.
