"Great and welcoming staff, clean and comfortable room, fittings as expected for an over 100 year old pub. Strange there was no breakfast options available, noisy refrigeration units on top of cold room near our room meant sleeping with ear plugs in, a sink in the bathroom would be good, otherwise a most enjoyable stay."

"The room was very tidy and clean, the staff were very friendly and helpful with the local things to do and see breakfast was great everything you need to start your day, while the hotel is under going some renovations we found the staff and locals very welcoming and friendly had a great time over our 3 days and all the meals were fantastic no matter what you ordered a great cook well worth a visit even if its just for lunch or dinner."

"Old country style pub accommodation with shared bathroom facilities. Restaurant attached inside the hotel serves a good selection of meals. Would recommend the seafood basket. I also managed to consume fresh oysters in chili lime sauce. Nothing like enjoying a beer outside late afternoon."

"This used to be one of my favourite hotels in Brisbane but not anymore. The room we had was old and worn looking and the bathroom was dirty. There was a lot of mould on the tiles and the shower screen looked like it hadn’t been cleaned properly for a long time. We paid extra for a city view and what we got was looking straight at a highrise building and a building site with stuff strewn everywhere, not a nice view."

"Wonderful stay. The first hotel I’ve stayed at for ages that actually delivers 5 star service. Room service meal was excellent, and the restaurant was able to cater to my gluten free dietary needs. Beautiful room, and very quiet. The perfect place to unwind after a busy day."
