"Check in was kind of wonky. They don't accept euro coins as payment for local taxes but take euro paper. Which is kind of confusing since it was only 4 euro to pay the local taxes I didn't have local currency in a low enough denomination to pay so I had to wait an extended period of time to have them get me change for 200 dirhams. The check-in person which I don't know his name because they did not have a name-tag or give a proper introduction was egotistical and condescending. Which is not good...

"The hotel staff were terrific, some of the best customer service I have experienced when travelling. They are attentive, friendly and helpful! 5 star!!! The main streets outside the property are ok. People are somewhat aggressive…if you venture off the main streets there is piles of garbage everywhere and people are actually living amongst this…at first it appears unsafe but that might not be accurate. "

"The hotel is absolutely beautiful and the room was excellent. The breakfast was delicious. The one complaint I have is regarding the check out process, they asked if we took anything out of the mini bar and once I told the front desk what we took they had to send someone out to the room to verify, after making us wait for several minutes they still asked me to tell them what we took from the minibar. This delayed our checkout time and in my opinion was excessive considering that our credit card was on file. After we had left we were asked to go back to pay the city taxes. So overall the stay was great but the check out process was painful. "
