"My room was right next to the elevator, so it was really loud. And the hotel had a wedding on the upper floor above me, so you could hear that until about like 10 o’clock. So if you’re trying to go to bed early, that wouldn’t have been happening. And it was really awkward to have the pool and hot tub be on the other side of the dining/bar area because you had to walk around that in your bathing suit, which felt really awkward and embarrassing."

"Stayed at this hotel for one night. We were attending a concert at the Denny Sanford center. We checked in about 4:45 and started getting ready. We walked into our room and notice a brown nasty stain on the couch when you first walk it.. Further inspection of the room the floors look like they had not been vacuumed in who knows how long. There were legit visible crumbs between the two beds. We went on about our night got ready left for the concert about 6:45ish didn't get back from the concert until about 11:30ish. We went to the bar and ordered drinks and a pizza, both drinks and pizza were good. Head back to our rooms and go to bed. Wake up the next day and start to pack shower and get ready to check out. We attempted to take showers but the shower curtain would not stay open. We were looking up at the rod and notice it was ripped out of the wall. I notified the front desk as soon as we were done getting ready and checking out. I was met with well why didn't you tell us about it yesterday when you checked in. No one noticed it yesterday as we were hardly in the room. She said she would note it on our booking. I get home check my bank account and sure enough they were trying to charge me $300.00 for the damage. I called spoke with a manager she review cameras and let me know she would refund my money. Then proceeded to say I needed to go change my review and that she hopes I am being honest about this and it would be unfortunate for them If I was lying. Inspect your rooms!!"

"Overall a nice stay. Building is old and could use some updates. AC in room was loud so hard to sleep or talk to each other. Breakfast was the basic as any 7/8 hotel rating. The pool temp was nice. I was actually able to get in."

"Horrible Experience! First, the pool was closed for maintenance, but I did not see anyone working on the pool for the entire 3 days that we were there. There was construction happening in the hallway/lobby area big holes in the wall, pipes laying in the hallway. Dirty hallways. The Continental breakfast consisted of Cereal, Yogurt, Bagels, and Toast. No eggs, or protein of any sort. I booked for two nights from Friday - Sunday. On Saturday my key card stopped working. Came to find out that they had me checking out on Saturday so they stopped my card access. When I got back into my room housekeeping had been there and made one bed, threw away a bag of our clothes (was later pulled from trash and given back) and moved all of our personal items around in the bathroom. The only lighting was two lamps and both of them kept coming unplugged and falling out of the loose outlets. The carpets were sticky and dirty. Homeless were lingering and using drugs both in the front and behind the hotel. (I have small children, so this was disturbing)"

"Our stay at the highpoint hotel was amazing! The staff that greeted us at check in was so helpful and accommodating! The lobby and reception area was so immaculately clean as was our room! Spacious for us and had everything we needed. Breakfast was a reasonable $10 per person. All you care to eat! The hotel is very safe and secure too! We will definitely stay here again! I highly recommend!"

"Beautiful, well thought out hotel. Our room was next to the mechanical room so it was very loud inside our room. They have no business putting paying guests in that room. I understand when you book through a third party site and receive a discounted hotel room, that you will be placed in less optimal rooms, such as a bad view, etc. But this was beyond the pale. I would never have stayed here had I know it would be in a noisy room next to the mechanical room. At checkout I was told the supervisor would be in at 3:00 PM and would call me. It has been 24 hours and crickets."
