"We would recommend avoiding booking here if you are relying on the advertised shuttle service from the airport. What they do a poor job of communicating is that the shuttle service they have costs $200 and must be booked 48hrs in advance. As another heads up to anyone who this may effect who are booking soon: the pool was quite unclean during our stay and the spa was run down with no schedule to repair it. All of this said, the rooms were fairly clean and the staff were very friendly."

"Rooms were nicely decorated however for a 5* resorts I was expecting the bathrooms to be modern and beautiful. They were not! And also we found (we had 3 rooms) mould in all showers. Reception and staff from La Mesa were very friendly however staff at the pool bar were not nice and cocktails were not up to the quality we expected from again a 5* resort. Very noisy due to school hols and kids take over all amenities. We will not be back as it didn’t provide value for our money and it was not a 5*...

"property is in a great location. We stayed in the Esplanade Tower, and the room was spacious enough for two people for a short stay. The bed was large, but it consisted of two mattresses joined together, with a noticeable gap in the middle that made it uncomfortable. "Colonial Club is a home away from home . I stay often as I am elderly & have a lot of Hospital Visits so my husband who is my Carer lives that this resort is clise to hisputal , has its own restaraunt , beautiful coffee & is ooen from 6.30 am for food.Rooms are comfy our favourite is Superior Room , staff are kind & caring & front desk always upgrades & has disability over toilet frame & shower chsir in room as I am in a wheelchair . We love the pools as well , such a great resort & suits...

"We had trouble finding the property in the dark. Once we were oriented, we enjoyed the location and proximity to the esplanade. In the unit, the washer/dryer combo did not work well, the shower left much of the bathroom floor wet and we could have used additional towels. We never heard from or met the hosts during our stay."
