The hotel is great..it is a bit removed from ghe center of the town. Which means it is quite, but you have to walk 15 mins up or get transportation. The restaurants at the beach in front of the church offer much better value than those at fhe center.

The hotel is nice but not that clean. The Restaurant had a beautiful view but NO gluten free options or no vegetarian choices. The pool is beautiful opened until 5pm or so.

Lobby area was lovely, however bedrooms and corridors need some updating. Sea view rooms advised! Decking area with sun loungers looses sun at 3.30pm, unfortunate if you like the sun! Hotel staff are all friendly, and take good care of their hotel. Limited menu in hotel restaurant. However good inclusive breakfast.

Great views

Great views from Marine Grande both from our room (314) and the lounge/restaraunt/pool area. Staff were very friendly & helpful. Shame more people didn't see the excellent musicians in the evening, although this was early April. Breakfast was excellent.

The rooms were not as advertised. This hotel is a complete cat fish. The front desk receptionist is very rude. They had no staff available at their restaurant. Breakfast was supposed to be included but again it was not made since they had no staff. We had a 3 night stay booked and left after 1 left that is how disappointed we were. The room was supposed to be non smoking but it was very obviously heavily perfurmed to mask the smell.

4 star hotel by marina lovely views, hotel clean room lovely staff great, bit of a trek up a hill to get to centre about 20 mins coming down easy! But did get a bus at marina to get you up a couple times hotel had time schedule Food not the greatest at the hotel for evening meal in our experience a lot of effort in service, slow in receiving food considering out of 15 approx tables only 2 occupied, breakfast selection very good Would recommend this hotel as long as you don’t mind a walk as road is gobbled and narrow tours will not go down to marina you have to meet in the centre somewhere

Stunning views in a beautiful location. Our room was simple but clean with an amazing balcony. The terrace was lovely for having breakfast on and the pool was nice. There is also a small beach just next to the hotel and lots of great restaurants and bars really close by, and it’s a short walk up to the town centre. The staff were nice and compared to the price of other hotels in Sorrento I think this one was really good value.

Seaside Villa Experience

We had a wonderful 6 night stay at Hotel Admiral! The room was clean and the marina an ideal location for us. The breakfast was delicious and had many options to choose from, plus we enjoyed the poolside and sea view. To my disappointment, the machine coffee didn’t taste good to me, but the bartender made a perfect café americano. We didn’t eat supper at the hotel but many dining options available at Marina Grande; our favorite was Ristorante Zi’Ntonio Mare who prepared over-the-top Scialatielli ai Frutti di Mare and Fusilli con Scampi! The hotel staff were very friendly and provided superior service. The rooftop bar had a lovely evening ambiance and live music several nights a week. I was celebrating my birthday during my stay and I was surprised with a lovely flower to enjoy in my room. Thank you for your kindness! It’s about 5-10 minutes to walk to the main square, and we hired a driver from/to the airport. I highly recommend Hotel Admiral. Grazie!

Dont drive there

Sat nav takes you miles out of the way, driving there is hurendous, narrow only just get car down the street, then have to walk to hotel. 20€ a night to park not said in write up.

Overall everything was fine. Nothing special. Breakfast ok, the coffee was terrible, and poor selection of fruits. Walking to the center is a long way considering the there are hills and stairs all the way If I come back to Sorrento I will consider another option. The view is amazing

Overpriced, run down & dirty! Very disappointed with my stay at this property. Overall the property is dated & tired which I could excuse, but the entire place needs a deep clean. Staff seemed under pressure & unhappy. The room itself was basic, but grubby & not thoroughly cleaned. The only positive I have is that the en-suite seemed have been updated in the last 5 years, but again the tap barely worked & the sink backed up. Breathtaking sea views is about the only thing this hotel has going for it.

Please read this review before deciding to stay

Positives: The view is beautiful and the bed was big. Breakfast was okay—nothing special, but fine. At least we had a roof over our heads. Now the negatives: walls are paper thin—you’ll hear everything, including your neighbor’s bathroom habits. The hair dryer is useless—works for one minute, then needs a break. Air conditioning didn’t work, so expect to sleep in a stuffy, hot room. Staff had zero service mind unless they were trying to sell us dinner at their restaurant. Housekeeping didn’t replace toiletries and took our towels without providing new ones. Asked for a kettle—told to come get it ourselves. Asked for a cup—told to go ask the restaurant directly. Room itself was not worth 4-stars. Furnishing quality of a hostel. This is labeled a 4-star hotel, but that only applies to the view. In terms of service, it’s worse than a hostel. Biggest issue? The location. Marina Grande may sound charming, but it’s terrible for tourists. Far from the city center and ferry piers, you’ll be walking up steep hills or paying €20–30 per taxi ride. With luggage, prepare to drag your bags 500–750m over cobblestones—taxis can’t reach the hotel, and the staff offers no help.

I had a fabulous stay for 1 week at Hotel Admiral. It is a quaint lovely hotel overlooking the Bay of Naples and an easy walk to the main square of Sorrento. The staff are professional, friendly and very helpful, the food was great (lovely daily breakfast buffet) and the location superb. I would highly recommend!
