"Positives: Room was excellent - second floor, lakeview with balcony. Spacious, very clean. Reception and housekeeping staff were very pleasant. Elements, the adjacent restaurant was very good with nice outdoor space with live musical entertainment. Some might consider it too loud, but it was fun for us. There's a nice indoor dining space, as well. They offer a 15% discount for hotel guests.
Negatives: Outside of the rooms, the indoor spaces were clean but dull and unattractive. The worst part was the overall, neglected condition of the outdoor space. Landscaping was mostly overgrown and weedy. First floor lake facing rooms had their lake view obstructed by overgrowth. There is a nice water feature which is also obstructed by plant overgrowth. The property was in sad shape.
Other: This location is prime lakeview and the hotel could be a premier one if some money, upkeep and care were put into it. It has a lot of potential if the right decisions are made."
"The room was clean and big, so was the bathroom! Strangely the shower was tiny and awkward. Breakfast was good. Great location for lots of activities in summer. I thought beach passes were included, and they were not."
"I booked here thinking it was at Stateline, which would’ve been perfect because we were going to Lake Tahoe for the Eric Church concert. It’s up the road from all the action, definitely not a short walk away, but for a fairly secluded location, it was nice. Since it’s right near Heavenly, it’s probably a great place to stay in the winter if you ski. We stayed in a King suite which was roomy, comfortable, and well- appointed. The front desk staff was helpful when we checked in/out. It’s valet-only which was a drag the next morning when it was time to check out. Everybody was lined up waiting to get their vehicles so maybe there should be more than two employees retrieving cars during that time. And it would’ve been nice if complimentary coffee/tea was available in the lobby we waited for our turn with the valets."
