"I don’t mean to be too harsh or rude but while I was there the only thing I could confidently say is that it was extremely close to a breakfast spot. When I checked in I was happy with the staff and the owner/manager. He was very nice and friendly but when I went into my room it appeared clean. There were stains on the pillows and the toilet didn’t work. I noticed a couple stains on the towels and the bathtub had a stain from the old mat that used to be there. There were a couple bugs inside the room as well. The picture shown advertised a couch which was not there but on the bright side I do believe that they genuinely care and there is room for improvement."
"I had not noticed the small print text at the bottom of the booking confirmation that there are no front desk staff onsite at this property. Was able to get the code to enter the assigned room by calling the hotel phone number. Up about 14 somewhat uneven stairs to the room, which was nicely modernized and very clean. However the floor in my room had a significant slope to it, so much so that I had to securely plant one foot in the shower to avoid slipping and falling. Property is very centrally located just off one of the main streets so it was easy to find several options for meals."
"I don't have anything bad to say about this place. I stayed for a weekend when I came to town for Ontario PinFest and wanted somewhere inexpensive but nice. The property is lovely with a fantastic gazebo out back that's lit in the evenings. I booked the smallest room and it is small but for just me, it was more than enough and the bed was very comfortable. This is a 130 year old converted house so there's no central air, but it had a modern window unit that worked well. Free wi-fi was provided and it's by Rogers Wireless so it's not a speed demon, but worked quite well. The bathroom is shared, but kept squeaky clean and I never had issues with the other guests in terms of scheduling the shower or whatnot.
As for the breakfast, it was stellar both days. I've had breakfast at high-end restaurants that wasn't nearly this good. The owner told me that they grow most of the fresh fruit and some of their herbs and vegetables on-site and you can tell. Incredibly fresh and delicious! The second day, I had breakfast with two of the other guests and she came to chat with us as well, which was great. The town of Creemore is also lovely with lots to see and do, though I was there pretty much just for pinball.
I hope to go back to PinFest in the future and I'll absolutely stay here again. Lovely place, great service, reasonably prices and some of the best breakfast anywhere. I also left my headphones there and they offered to mail them back to me. Cheers!"
