"Really nice hotel right on the beach front, ideal location. The room was lovely with very comfy beds and the staff were nice. There were a few power cuts during our stay, one whilst we were in the lift!!! The bathroom and reception area often smelt of sewage."

"This is a really nice hotel. It’s good value for what you pay for. I would say this is a 3 star hotel that gives you 4star value. Let’s get into it; The staff at the reception was very lovely, special shoutout to Gerta, she was super kind and helpful; she called taxis, gave instructions and directions for local activities and public transport as well. On our last day, she let us check out late FOC. The breakfast fare is not huge but it’s adequate, there’s no potatoes, omelettes or porridge but like I said, breakfast is adequate. The location is about 25 minutes away from central Tirana, so do bear that in mind. All in all it was a very wonderful stay."

"I had a wonderful stay at Meliá Durrës. The rooms were spacious, modern, and spotless, and the cleanliness across the whole resort was outstanding. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout, and the pools were beautiful and well maintained. The beach was peaceful and perfect for a relaxing holiday. Unfortunately, the food fell short of the rest of the experience and didn't quite match the high standards set elsewhere in the resort. A few improvements in the dining options would make this a truly five-star stay."

"The value for money for this hotel is unmatched. For the prices paid, the amenities, room sizes, daily cleans, included breakfast, welcome drink, couldn't be met. Staff were also very friendly and helpful. We arrived after a long delay and 24hr reception meant it wasn't an issue, they helped booked taxis when needed and even sorted a ripped bank note. This isn't a 5* hotel but you're not paying 5* prices. We found it to be above basic and everything we needed our stay. Having a pool was great and we didnt see many hotels near Tirana with one. One thing and we knew when booking is that this resort is in the middle of nowhere. There is a shopping centre maybe 10min walk down the sides of the motorway but anything else you need a car. We knew this when booking so was fine for us. A taxi from the airport was €20/2000Lek and then around €10/15 to Tirana city depending on time of day and area. We also got a taxi to Durres and that was €30/35. Most places prefer cash or only take cash. We paid cash at the hotel for food and drinks. Worth getting Lek out at the aiport (loads of ATMs) and as it charges for withdrawal better to draw out a large amount."
