"Do not stay at this hotel. I booked it for my daughter and my autistic grandson. I planned ahead and messaged them asking for extra amenities. When my daughter got there she had mugs and tea/coffee but NO kettle. I rang the main number which turned out to be in Bournemouth and the staff said he would contact the hotel and get a kettle and some towels delivered. By the evening still no kettle!! I then messaged and got a reply saying they would send housekeeping up with a kettle and towels. It never arrived. During the night my daughter was calling me saying how scared she was as people were outside shouting and banging doors in the hallway. she was to scared to sleep, I felt total useless. Concerned for her safety she got up and dressed at 5am got packed and got my grandson up and left. The taxi driver even said he wouldn't recomend this hotel. What was meant to be a nice half term break for my daughter and grandson ended up being a scary knightmare. I'd recomend paying the extra at least you would have a kettle and feel safe in your bed at night. It's not family or young children safe."
"Lovely hotel. Clean and friendly staff. A bit pricey for the stay but to be expected when you're staying in a castle. Would definitely recommend. The views from the hotel left me and my partner speechless, absolutely beautiful hotel with breath taking views."
"Scaffolding surrounded the building throughout our stay, which significantly obstructed the view. In addition, the lift was repeatedly out of service, causing considerable inconvenience.
The room itself felt dated and was not of the standard we expected for the price paid. There were visible stains on both the floor and the chairs, which negatively impacted the overall cleanliness and comfort of the stay.
We were also required to move rooms because the window in our original room had recently been painted shut, making it impossible to open. This presented a clear health and safety concern. Unfortunately, the replacement room appeared to be of a lower standard, with a much smaller window and an overall downgrade in quality.
Given these issues, we do not feel the stay represented good value for money and would therefore like to request a refund or appropriate compensation for the experience."
"It was the first time staying at this hotel. It was a great place overall but what made it an amazing experience was thr hotel staff especially Matthew. Matthew went above and beyond to make our stay amazing he was genuinely kind and had exceptional customer service. Other staff who deserve a mention is Sarah and Anita. Thanks you all we will definitely we coming back."
