It would be nice if coffee were offered in the morning, or some other modest compensation for the loss of use of the pool. "It’s become our tradition to stay at Melrose Mansion when we visit New Orleans. This was our 4th stay but the first time in six years. It has maintained its status as a wonderful destination with an incredible staff. We traveled with our 4 year old and the room size was perfect. Can’t wait to be back! "

"The hostel was awesome! We had our own room with bathroom and it was clean and comfortable. We even had our own shower, which I didn’t expect! So loved the breakfast selection and everyone there was so kind and friendly. If back in NOLA, I would definitely stay here again!!!"

"Walkable to Bourbon. Confirmed booking on 16th floor and when we arrived, given 4th floor with a terrible view. Breakfast was suitable. There is security at main door as you cant get in without a key. "

"Room was clean and spacious and in a terrific area for exploring the French Quarter. It seems some of the rooms have been updated but in our room there were a few issues: automatic blinds were in poor shape and did not work, and thermostat didn’t really control the temp. Sliding door in the bathroom may be aesthetically interesting, but has no sound barrier so make sure you are very close with your roommates.
