"A busy lively hotel. We stayed for the etape Caledonia cycle. The hotel was very proactive and offered a takeaway breakfast and bicycle storage. Although the hotel had live music and a good atmosphere, our room was quiet and peaceful despite being directly above the bar. We had dinner in the bar and the venison burgers were delicious.The staff were very competent and friendly. Will definitely return to McKays!"

"New parking charge of £10 per day. Ants in bedroom, pool locker jammed and had to wait 25 mins to get clothes etc and asked for a towel to be told to use the hairdryer to warm myself. No plug in wash hand basin. Feel that hotel has been let to run down lately. Food expensive !!! "

"Lovely location and beautiful room with modern appointments and quality tea/ coffee/ toiletries etc. Convenient location for the highlands with things to see and do from the doorstep. The only let down was the breakfast which took almost an hour to arrive after ordering, which sadly took the shine off an otherwise excellent stay. However, the management were very apologetic, so it would appear we were just unlucky on that occasion."

"What can I say about The Inn On The Tay? From arriving to departing everything was first class. We had room 1 (Garry) and it was massive with the added bonus of a view of the river. The bar area was lovely and cosy and the staff were just lovely, nothing was too much. We had dinner in the restaurant and the menu is pretty good with pretty much everything you might expect from a pub menu. We were doing a cycle event the following morning and had to be up way before breakfast but if we had wanted something to eat, again no problem. We did think about eating in Pitlochry but decided to go back and I’m really glad we did as there were lots of people there who had done the road race so the atmosphere was great! Breakfast was really nice and we got a starter and a main! Absolutely delicious. When we went to pay our food and drink bill I hadn’t realised that we got £50 towards the cost of food so double bonus. Will we go back if in the area again? Absolutely!"

"The property was beautiful, the location ideal for walking all over town and for nice walks in the woods, the hosts were extremely accommodating, friendly and great advise as “what not to miss”. It was a wonderful breakfast with a menu to pick from the night before. It was just an overall wonderful stay and I highly recommend. They bought raspberry jam special for me after the first breakfast when I had requested it and they were out. Extremely thoughtful. Greg and Susan were ideal hosts."
