"Pros: staff were very friendly and accommodated early check-in. Kids loved the free mini golf. Cons: we booked a non-smoking room and the room had a heavy smoke/musty smell. Our child’s feet were very dirty after crawling on the floor for a few minutes. We bought cleaning wipes and air freshener to use to be comfortable for the night. Would not recommend for families staying with young children."

"Mixed review for us. The check in process has many flaws, very disorganized. The link we were sent didn’t work so we didn’t receive any info before arrival despite having sent several messages and no replies. Thankfully there was a friendly staff member to help us when we arrived, however our room still wasn’t ready for an hour and a half after check in time and we didn’t receive the door code or room number until that time. The room itself was nice and clean."

"I have to say as we pulled up to this small hotel, I thought I’d made a bad booking, but the place was surprisingly clean and comfortable. The rooms were spacious and quiet renovated. This was the perfect spot to spend the night and I would stay here again. Very clean."

"The booking for the room was good. It was very difficult to find due to the shrubbery around the entrance. There appeared to be several vehicles owned by the owner taking up spaces that customers could use and it wasn’t appreciated that several large vehicles were parked close to the guest rooms. There is great potential for the hotel but the owner isn’t taking advantage of that opportunity. Shocked to find that there was no ice machine on the premises and told to go to a local restaurant and...

"Was a little worried at the exterior pictures / reviews but we were pleasantly surprised to find a newly renovated room. Only negative was the twin beds…..very small for 4 average adults and queen beds would fit in the room. Smart tv was a bonus as we could use our own Netflix subscription."

"After a 13hr travel day, it was so nice to be welcomed by the amazing staff. Check in was seamless and the staff was so welcoming. Our room was clean and cozy. We had a great stay for 2 nights and will absolutely stay here again next time we make it out to Powell River."
