"This spot was amazing all the way around. Like others have said given that it is a journey to get to, spend at least 2 nights. It was the perfect spot to slow down and relax. The food is amazing whether in the fancy dining room or in the cafe. The onsens overlooking nature and the waterfall were spectacular. Staff member April really made our stay great given her recommendations, explaining and teaching about local cuisines offered. The service is 5 star. I’d definitely return !! "

Some of the communication was difficult but the staff tried really hard and we enjoyed the stay Hard to navigate getting to and from major stations and it snowed one day at end of March Overall I’m glad we did it for the experience to be immersed in Japanese culture.
