"I would give Carson Inn 3 stars. Overall, the hotel wasn’t anything to write home about, but it did what we needed it to do. The room itself was clean and appeared to be well maintained.
My biggest issue was that I accidentally booked a smoking room through Expedia. I completely take responsibility for not catching it during the booking process, which is why I’m giving 3 stars instead of 1. However, I’ve stayed at a lot of hotels over the years, and this is the first time I’ve ever accidentally...
"It was a cute room and it was clean. But it’s not very well lit outside if you wanted to go to the casino at night. Also, there is no on-site gift shop and no on-site food at all! So it was a problem that I forgot my toothbrush and I was hungry. There’s no refrigerator in the room either so you can’t keep food there. It’s good if you don’t wanna spend a lot of time in your room and you’re not looking for food close by."
"The innkeeper was amazing. Older place but ok. Has a fridge, coffee pot , and a microwave. That came in handy as by the tine we got to rhe room everything was closed but 24 hr. Safeway. Bed was huge but had Donner pass in middle so I couldn't ever snuggle with my husband."

The room was excellent; they provided us with a rollaway bed at no additional cost. The staff during check-in 7.15.2026 9pmish was helpful; I inquired about the latest check-out time, and she informed me it was 11:30 AM at no extra charge. However, when I left at 11:18 AM, on 7.16.2026 another staff member claimed I was late and that there would be a fee. I explained that I had specifically asked the front desk representative the night before...
"The faucet did not work property in the bathroom. No pressure and no hot water. I had to brush my teeth at the kitchen sink, the jacuzzi in the room did not work. The sent someone and he could not fix it. The front desk made a huge deal in giving me a wattle bottle and they did not want to give me points to compensate how awful the room was. They only refunded the resort fee. I did not have a good experience."
