"The Fairfield by Marriott in Aso is a very comfortable hotel like the Fairfield in Nikko where my wife and I staid before. The rooms are clean, modern and with a lot of light coming in through a big window; comfortable enough that on a rainy day we decided to stay in the room almost all day. Personnel at the reception is very friendly and helpful. The restaurant selection in the area is not the greatest but there is a Lawson Station shop nearby. Additionally the hotel offers free coffee, tea etc. and sells some food items which can be heated in microwaves if necessary. The Fairfield is located near the local train station and has sufficient parking space if you come by car. "
"We had an amazing stay! The service was excellent and all the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. The food was delicious, and the private onsen was a perfect, relaxing experience. Highly recommend!"
"Beaitiful ryokan with private onsens and a public bathouse. Both dinner and breakfast were outstanding. Highly recommend if you would like a romantic or releaxing getaway."
"Spent one night on the way to kagoshima.
Great hotel, very clean, amazing dinner and breakfast, Great amenties.
Underated hotel, had a short but lovely time there."
"Staff at the front desk was really nice, room was good but the onsen were really busy and have to bring in own towel and products. That was a bit disappointing. "
"The bed was the most comfortable I slept in so far. Room was large enough for a single person. They had free amenities in the lobby and the breakfast had a good Japanese spread. The only con is the elevator is super slow lol but at least they have one! Family mart underneath is super helpful. Would stay again and it's super close to the takachiho gorge! "
