"This was advertised as having a kitchen. Kitchen facilities are in another building that are communal. The other option is to rent a gas burner. Everything is extra (e.g. trash, gas burner). Heater for room kept turning off. Barely enough space for 3 futons. Japanese communal bathrooms near bungalows, western style in main building. We only stayed one of the two nights booked even though we did not get a refund."
"The staff was very friendly in a not intrusive way. We felt this comes from the heart.
Wonderful (if you like Japanese) food.
t was a wonderful stay and we would go there again. "
"Amazing stay, they made us feel special and really welcomed us (even with a small gift) as we stayed here two nights for our honeymoon. There isn’t too much in the vicinity to do (walkable distance less than half an hour or an hour) but still a very beautiful and comfortable property I really enjoyed staying at with my husband. "
"Although Takachiho is a very small and quaint little town in the mountain countryside, this hotel is a gem. Service, quality and amenities beats many hotels in cities across Japan."
"Fabulous high class European style food, friendly knowledgeable staff and wonderful observatory and star gazing experience set in a peaceful location with lovely maisonette style chalets."
