My husband and I loved this place! We will definitely be back. We booked the private room with two twin beds. The showers are shared but there’s a door for privacy. It’s quite and comfortable. Very clean and lovely staff.

This was the best hostel I’ve stayed in. VERY quiet for a hostel and they make guests understand to behave that way in a respectful manner. It’s about as close as you can get to the old town and the common highlights of the city. I was very happy with my stay and I’d happily stay here again if I were to come back to Takayama!

Great location, walkable to both the train station and the old town. Very friendly staff, very well equipped kitchen. Our room was clean and the shower facility was acceptable. If you're unlucky to get a room near the common areas, the doors are made of paper so you can hear everything.
