"This hotel was a beautiful, quiet oasis. The staff was wonderful, our bed was super comfortable and it felt more like a private condo than a hotel. If the big, all-inclusive hotels are too touristy for you, this could be a great choice. We felt very safe here, the hotel is on a private road with a guard shack so limited traffic and easy to walk along daily. There's a beautiful cenote just a few minutes walk away. "The hotel is great. People are extremely nice. The area is very safe as we have our rented car as well. The only issue is that there are a lot of speed bumps on the road to the hotel. If you rent a car, make sure it's not a low car. The road is very dark, so it's not advised to walk at night without a flashlight. A car is recommended if you stay here. "The hacienda was beautiful, with its own cenote and underground river. Tours by David were amazing on site, and his advice for activities, restaurants etc. really enhanced our stay. The restaurant food was excellent - we had breakfast included and also ate one lunch and 2 dinners during our 5 night stay. "
