"Lovely place ! The main pub/ hotel was beautifully furnished - airy and spacious . Room was good - except for the lack of natural light and due to the intense heat , we needed to keep the door open as the window was quite small . The bottle of cold water was welcome / staff were very good"

"It wasn't anything the website said. Didn't get a very good welcome. The outside signage said luxury bed and breakfast it wasn't, it was very basic. Room was small and hot, no window to open. No toiletries. The sink was tiny so couldn't fill the kettle."

"Looking for a convenient location to stay while over watching the bikes at Oulton Park. Brilliant location and brilliant stay. Rooms were clean and spacious with a comfy bed. Staff were brilliant, both behind and front of bar. Ate there 2 nights, fantastic both times. Another cracking pub within walking distance. Continental breakfast spot on. Would I stay again, without a doubt. "

Thete was plenty of space for more drawers for clothes, a table/ rack for a suitcase , and a small table between the chairs would have been useful. The pool and spa area was excellent. "We stayed here for one night whilst visiting Chester. Although, not directly in the centre, it is only a lovely 15 minute walk along the canal to get there. The hotel is modern, with reception located at the bar. The atmosphere was lively and you also get a complimentary drink voucher on check in. A nice touch. "Clean room, did what it needed to do a bed with an ensuite. Felt very dated. Complimentary breakfast was delicious, and the gym had basic equipment but good enough to get a good gym session in. Extremely gorgeous location and perfect for going into Chester. Reasonable car park price. Only negative was I didn’t appreciate being asked for my card details - account expiry and cvc outline publicly and was not told how it would be stored or removed. "I would prefer it hotter but it was warm enough. Food was delicious, very good quality, staff extremely helpful and friendly, spa is beautiful with wide range of facilities. "

"Clean well laid out and comfortable room. Good sized fridge, lots of well placed sockets and a large bathroom made it an easy stay. We found easy parking nearby in public car parks. Helpful staff and we would stay there again."

"Stayed two nights - good size room, clean and comfortable. Good breakfast, friendly hosts, good location with pubs and places to eat a few minutes walk away. Easy to get into Chester from here. Excellent."
