"My wife and I were visiting her brother and family in Wells, the location of this hotel for Wells, Glastonbury, Avebury and Stonehenge was fantastic...close to all of them. The room was same set up as Travelodge/Premier Inn but MUCH more space in the room, more room around the beds etc. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great, good choice and good value for money. We would highly recommend and will probably stay here again next time we go. Just a few things that could have made it better.....1: the weather was hot when we were there, each bed had a light duvet which was a bit too warm for me and there was no single cotton sheet as an alternative that would have been better for me. 2: The bath is VERY slippy when wet, there is no rubber bath mat in the room but you can ask for one...good idea to ask for one in reception when you arrive. 3: the curtains were not very good at keeping sunlight out....blackout curtains/blinds would have been better."
"Always like staying at the Mount rooms Staff was very friendly and helpful. I think the rooms could be tidied up a little bit more and maybe some pictures on the wall but always a nice friendly stay. Train station 300m away straight into Cardiff central. Could walk straight onto Barry Island from the hotel in about 20 minutes and you’ve also got the lovely area of the cold knap pebble Beach close by."
"Great stay, my room was lovely, staff were friendly and breakfast was really good quality. There is a pub directly opposite and my room faced it so there was a bit of noise and not quite as peaceful as I was hoping. No air con in the rooms probably due to the age but the fan provided was of good quality. Beds really comfy and I got a good nights sleep. Would reccommend"
"Lovely experience from start to finish. Easy check in, parking right by the lodge we'd booked and very peaceful and quiet. No air con in the lodge but we'd taken our own fan, only to find several already there.
Lovely seating area outside and whilst we didn't use the self catering facilities everything was there had we needed to.
Full size bath next to one of the doubles, and a separate shower room meant plenty of facilities for the six of us, with a twin room spare.
We'd booked to use the lodge on a night we were attending an event at Powderham Castle as a group and it was ideal."
"The room was large and airy and comfortable, and very clean. The bathroom had a rainfall shower over the bath, which was lovely - the shower had a decent flow rate (sometimes they can be rather inadequate).
The receptionist was friendly, and check-in was simple.
The Ways Inn is rooms only, (no restaurant) but the nearby services are more than adequate. There is outdoor seating, if the weather is good.
Despite being just off the M5 the Inn is very quiet. Parking is included.
For an overnight stop it was brilliant, and I'd happily book it again."
"Location is superb - stone’s throw from seafront and in amongst all the shops, restaurants and bars. Plenty of parking on site. Our room with terrace and partial sea view was lovely. Clearly been modernised fairly recently and had everything we needed, including a fan (and a beaver!) Shower was excellent and very clean bathroom.
Aside from our room, breakfast had great selection and all the staff were polite and pleasant. The breakfast room was very hot with very few windows open.
Parts of the hotel are looking very tired and could do with an uplift. Games room smelled very musty.
Check in and out could be better. Receptionist on phone both times (personal not business) and ended up just leaving key on desk on check out."
