"Clean room - great front desk girl - best location in downtown - I’ll be there again"

"The room smelled like food when we got in. Almost like someone microwaved something gross and it didn’t air out. It didn’t seem that clean in the room either. We also got hassled to go to a time share presentation. I would not stay here again."

"The hotel was very recently acquired and renamed by Hilton. Some elements were not functioning, such as the room safe and the TV. I did find the combined washer/dryer useful. The staff was sparse but friendly, and the room comfortable."

Four stars because of food choices- Starbucks only open till 2 and twice the price outside the hotel; poolside bar/grill closed at 5; Marina Grill super expensive. "It’s a beautiful hotel staff is polite properties very clean maintain. Only problem I had was that there was not garage parking at the hotel. You have the option of paying $70 for valet parking or finding a parking garage nearby and paying that. Only other complaint I have was the Wi-Fi was down during my stay. It worked have been nice to get a discount due to that inconvenience."

"Stayed here for one Friday night to catch a Padres game. Will definitely stay again. Walking into the stadium is awesome. Coming back from stadium into hotel was kinda hectic cause everyone had to go down to first floor elevator lobby. Rooms were clean, staff helpful and polite. The shampoo, lotion etc smell amazing. Tons of stuff within walking distance. Great stay!"

"Stayed in room 1110 the entire night. The air-conditioning made so much noise. It sounded like somebody was breaking into the room. The next morning, I want to talk to the staff and all they did was say sorry it wasn’t even genuine I also asked the staff member to call cab for me. She said she wouldn’t. She never did waited over 90 minutes."

"Staff was great, building was very nice and different feel than a normal generic hotel. The food in the restaurant was very good and the staff there was great as well. Quick walk to gaslamp, petco, and a lot of food choices. Was also a very short drive to zoo/balboa park, and the airport. Cons: no fridge in the room and only a rack for clothes/luggage.
