"Stayed here about 5 years ago and it was 5 star. Gone a bit downhill since with dated/well used/weathered furniture, faded elevator buttons, etc, and general laissez-faire attitude from staff makes this now a low 3 after most recent visit. Arrived for checkin at 4:45pm and was told to wait as room was not ready. Credit to Dan for waiving our daily resort fee for the inconvenience. Location is excellent and walkable to many areas of NYC and train stops nearby. Bellhop was helpful loading...

"The room was so spacious and clean! I loved the fact you can hop onto any subway and get around the city easily from this location! Tons of food options and you can even leave and come back across the city within 30 minutes if you want to bring food back to the hotel, bring extra because you can heat it up later! I loved the view of the hotel, the staff was incredibly friendly. Was probably my favorite stay of any hotel. The Roku box came in clutch especially for late night movie watching...

"Straight forward check-in process - staff was very detailed on how to use the access cards and how to access the lobby during late night hours. Fresh coffee and water for tea was available in the lobby. As it is with NYC hotels, you could tell it's an older building but it was clean, our beds were very comfortable, we had a updated TV in our room and our room was one of the biggest I've gotten in NYC (where a lot of hotels are notorious for very very small rooms)."

"The location was still good for a Saturday stay with a lower rate b/c subway stations are close by as is Pier 11 to get over to DUMBO quickly. The neighborhood wasn’t a ghost-town even a good bit after midnight. Room was clean and nice."
