"Bathroom smelled like raw sewage or rotten fish / dead animal.. maybe the P-trap or sewer system has a problem or maybe it really is animal-related. Room was never cleaned properly over 3 days. Amazingly bad homeless and addicts in the area. Worst neighborhood situation ever. All that aside, the restaurant was awesome and the front desk staff super friendly. But whatever causes that smell needs to be fixed."

"The kids really enjoyed the seals, otters, and blue herons in the harbour. Additionally, the pool, hot tub, and enjoyable stroll or water taxi to the other side of the harbour. The staff, views, and location were incredible!"

"Upon arrival I was surprised by the offer of an upgraded room on the first floor, what I was not told by the check in clerk was that this room #103, was directly over the exit/entrance to the adjoined pub and would be noisy. Significant noise from the pubs patrons carried on until 3am ( this was a Thursday night, heaven help someone staying on a Friday or Saturday). I had to be up for meeting at 6am. Not a good night.. The check in clerk said he'd have the manager call me. The manager didn't...

"We stayed over the Victoria day long weekend, I had my mother with me who is in a wheelchair 90% of the time and when we got to the hotel the elevator was not working. I was very disappointed that they did not let me know prior to the arrival, they did not offer to refund my payment or give me a discount due to this major inconvenience. My Mother had to painfully climb up and down the stairs for 2 days. I emailed the manager and got no response."

"Great property, great location, friendly staff, nice restaurant and lounge but some updating to elevators and bathrooms might be considered. I would definitely choose this location again as it was so well located to the waterfront area for scenery, shopping and dining."

"We were very impressed with our stay. Beds and pillows were extremely comfortable, kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals. The complementary breakfast was also more than we expected. We didn't use the complementary bikes or kayaks but appreciate the fact they were there and will keep that in mind for another trip."
