"We booked a last minute trip to NY for our family of four and we were relieved to find a reasonable rate for a room with 2 double beds. The hotel is well located (an easy 5-10 min. walk to several different subway lines). We loved that we had easy access to grocery stores, restaurants, and downtown attractions. As other reviews have mentioned, we encountered issues with our A/C. The first night we stayed, the A/C compressor was obviously not working. The room never dropped below 75 degrees and it was quite humid. We called the front desk the next morning and the issue was quickly addressed by the maintenance team. A new A/C unit was swapped into our room and we didn't have any issues for the remaining 3 nights. This is a no frills hotel - no pool and small rooms, but by NYC standards, it was very nice and priced accordingly. We appreciated the cleanliness and attentive staff. We would not hesitate to stay here again."

"Great Boutique Hotel in a Convenient Location Great Boutique Hotel in a Convenient Location The Washington Hotel was a cute boutique hotel in a great location. Shopping, restaurants, and other amenities were easily accessible, which made our stay very convenient. We were also close to the World Trade Center, and the beautiful waterfront was just a short distance away. The train station was nearby, making it easy for us to get to Yankee Stadium for the Jay-Z concert. If you’re looking for a boutique hotel in the Wall Street District with easy access to sightseeing, dining, shopping, and transportation, this is a great option. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it!"

"So, I will start by saying that previous reviews were 100% correct- Junior is amazing! There was quite a lineup for check-in when I arrived, however, upon being greeted by Junior I suddenly didn't mind the wait! The Hotel was lovely! The entrance/lobby was really nice! It was open, clean and inviting! The bar/lounge area was also quite comfortable! We had a drink from the lounge one night when we came back to the hotel....it was delicious! The man that served us (sorry but I can't remember his name - originally from Bangladesh) was so very nice. We had a great chat, he was very welcoming and made a great cocktail recommendation! The room was very nice. We stayed in a king bed room with a view. It was not huge but certainly big enough. The bathroom door was a slider door and didn't close tight. This was not a big deal for us but might be for some. The furniture and fixtures were all brand new and the room was freshly painted. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and we got a very good night's sleep. The housekeeping was also excellent. Our room was cleaned daily and was always done before we got back for an afternoon break. The location of the hotel was great. It is in a very busy area, but we wanted to stay near Times Square so we knew going there that it would be busy! It was a 2-3 minute walk to Times Square, lots of restaurants, liquor stores and Broadway shows. There was also a Walgreens right next door! Would I return? Absolutely!"

"We stayed in no less than 5 accommodations on our long road trip, and this was my family's FAVORITE!! We were in a room with a kitchenette, and it was incredibly convenient to have a fridge, freezer, dishes, silverware, and cookware in addition to the cooktop. We loved the storage space for food and luggage, and my kids loved the overall layout. It was a very effective use of the city space with a large bathroom as well. The staff was kind, helpful, and very timely with our requests. We SO appreciated having laundry facilities available, especially that they were free for guests with a reasonable number of machines... plus there is a pool table, fooseball, ping pong, and more in the laundry room, which one of my kids started referring to as the arcade. The location was convenient for walking to the ferry & piers as well as other sights and public transportation. We parked in a nearby garage which had parking validated at the hotel (but almost as expensive as our stay...) If we head back to NYC, this will absolutely be where we stay!!"
