"Great stay. Great value! A whirlpool in the room, a private balcony facing the beach, I felt safe traveling solo. Comfortable bed. I thought there was no bed lamp. The wall switch was hidden by the 4 pillows at the head of the bed. I didn’t check for breakfast as nearly every place I stay provides one. Found a nice place several blocks away. Great location"

"Next room had huge rock music playing until 3am. Kept us awake. We called security who got them to turn it down at midnight. After 15 minutes the booming was Bach on high. No follow up from security. I will not stay at your hotel Again."

"Our room was comfortable and spotlessly clean as were the lobby and breakfast areas; many options available at the well stocked and tended breakfast. All staff we encountered were kind, friendly and helpful. Although we weren't able to have an oceanfront room ours was very easy access to the wonderful walkway up to the gazebo and dunes. Everything was kept up very nicely. We enjoyed the indoor pool and hot tub. This was the most pleasant stay we've had at the OBX in a long time, we will definitely stay again at the Shutters!"
