"De Vere Tortworth Court is a beautiful and unique mansion, completely surrounded by nature, built over 170 years ago. We came to visit the Cotswolds, and this accommodation worked out quite well (it is a 40 mins-1h drive from the main villages). Things I loved: All the shared areas are well kept and organized, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good as well as the bistro and the cocktail bar in the library room. "The hotel is just minutes off the M5 but an easy bus journey into the centre of Bristol. We had a lovely evening in Bristol and easily got back to the hotel. It is spotlessly clean and the staff are very helpful. The room had everything we needed and we had a choice of double or twin. Lovely breakfast. Great value for money. Lots of parking. We arrived a little early and it was no problem for us to check in."

"Note that this is on the north side of the motorway so when heading south we had to do a detour. And when we got to the place we were told that breakfast was back on the north side. And when we left in the morning there was no one around to ask how to get there if we drove as we didn't have much time. We had booked for two nights but only stayed for one."

"Have stayed before and was very pleased. Lovely big rooms which are clean. Staff really pleasant at check in. Issues were only 1 towell in the bathroom in a room for 2 people so had to search around and a spare was in the wardrobe, no shower gel in the shower. Annoyingly, and not the hotels fault someone had set the alarm on the tv for 7am so we were woken by the tv switching itself on. Breakfast was really poor. There was no milk for drinks or cereal, we waited over 15 minutes for some to...

"This was the very best hotel and staff. The room was lovely. Staff were friendly, and they couldn't do enough for you. They would do anything in their power to make your stay a pleasurable experience. I would strongly recommend the stay, with the Marina literally two minutes away, and the town center a 10 minute walk away. My only problem was the food. It's not the best, and don't have the breakfast you'll be wasting your money, it has very poor quality ingredients. You'd be better off eating...

"Clean room, but the desk lamp did not work properly as the bulb constantly flickered. Also, the wall light near the window did not work at all. We felt that these things should be checked by the cleaning staff on a daily basis as it wouldn’t take long to switch on a lamp and wall lights while dusting them. We reported the broken lights to the receptionist when we checked out the next day."
