Maggie Island is a magnificent location! The beach is so close. Great accommodation and activities, perfect for families. Quiet location and close to the supermarket chemist and coffee shops. Fantastic dining at Man Friday’s Mexican restaurant. The perfect island getaway and fun for the entire family!!!

visit to Magnetic island

We came over from Townsville where we live for a two day break. We have been to the island before and love coming back,Usually we come over in our boat but this time decided to come over by ferry and bring our car to travel easier around the island, we stayed in a quiet area lovely rooms all that you need on a holiday ,close to the beach great walking tracks.

Great family escape

From the moment I checked in I felt welcome. The staff throughout our stay were friendly and happy to impart their Island knowledge. The apartment was spotless, and extra beds were placed in there for us to work out sleeping arrangements- I was traveling with my mother and 3 children. One room had a queen bed, the other two singles. Both rooms had bathrooms attached. The second room was large enough to set up the two rollaway beds comfortably. Located across from the beach, a 2 minute walk to a grocery store, and short walk to Ferry. You have the access to all your needs while being in a quieter location. We stayed 6 nights .

The staff of Island Palms Resort couldn't have been more helpful--from checking in to checking out. Any question or problem we had was cheerfully and quickly resolved. The extra items / services they offer (eg, picnic basket & rug) free of charge is a testimony to their exceptional level of hospitality.

Very good, quiet location

Stayed for our annual end of year weekend getaway because our regular spot at Arcadia was booked out. I guess it was meant to be because now we have a new regular spot. Nice location for walks along the beach. Close to shops and bottle-o. Bus just around corner to take all around the island. Unfortunately didn't try the pool but looked good and felt heated. Friendly and helpful staff who let us relax at the pool while our room was being serviced (we were too early at check in). Overall, worthwhile and yes, we'll be coming back - I think it was a blessing in disguise that our regular spot was booked out.

Handy to shops, restaurants, beach & affordable

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will recommend to others! It is very clean, great pool, close to the beach, kids loved the table tennis table and 1/2 tennis court! Very well maintained units and grounds. Staff were very friendly and helpful! The only problem we had we was we didn't stay long enough!

Great holiday

Fantastic managers :) Beautiful pool and gardens and an added bonus the pool was heated. Very large two bedroom apartment with great views. Beds were super comfy and we will be back again.
