"Absolutely lovely experience, so much history and fun to the place, my only complaint was some of the food was cold and the amount of dogs which decided to fight was a little bit much. Staff lovely though especially the one on reception."
"Cosy room, with top quality breakfast. Room was at the start of the corridor so it was noisy when other guests went past the door. But fortunately the other guests were in their rooms at a decent hour so my sleep was not disturbed. Would stay again"

Room was clean and comfortable with every thing we needed, plenty of towels, great over bath shower, tea and coffee etc. We had a great meal standout dish was home made cow &ale pie and the wonderful home made proper puddings. Good choice at breakfast of cooked to order dishes. Great place to stay and we will stay again if we revisit area. "

"The hotel, staff, restaurant and location are excellent
However the rooms facing the lane are extremely noisy... we were woken up at 7.30am by loud truck deliveries and garbage trucks... and late at night, the hotel staff would gather and talk loudly just below the hotel room windows.
Also, the hotel has no parking, so you either have to be lucky and get a spot on the street in front of the hotel, or pay to park in the lot up the hill.
Other than the noise and parking, everything else was...
