"We used the Pickled Parson as a home base for a month while visiting family. The room we had for that duration of a stay was a little small, but it was comfortable, clean and made up daily. "The hall is beautiful with nice gardens and lots of character. Unfortunately the spa was very full and therefore not enjoyable and we had a terrible nights sleep because there is zero soundproofing, we could hear everything from the room above us and any movement in the corridor. I particularly loved our characterful room and view and the surprise jetted bathtub, but even though we turned the radiators off the large pipes throughout the room were still providing too much heat so we had to...

"The inn was okay and the staff were nice. Couldn’t sleep though which is the point of a hotel. Had a road facing room and could hear every single car as it sped by. Torture. The shower was also maybe the worst I’ve had in the last 5 years of constant travel. Felt like someone held a pinched hose over me and there was no water pressure at off peak shower times. "

No sound insulation between the rooms so you can hear everything going on in the rooms above and each side.
