"We enjoyed our stay of 4 nights. Check in with Monique was great! She made us feel welcome and got us to our spacious, corner room fast. The complimentary breakfast was good. My only complaint is with housekeeping. For 4 nights we received one room clean and dishes were left in the sink unwashed and we noticed the sheets had not been changed and the carpets were not vacuumed."
"Checked into room 216 and went to take a shower after 11 hours of driving. When I turned on the tub faucet, stuff came out of the drain: looked like someone had vomitted into the tub and the staff didn’t clean it. DISGUSTING! We were moved into a different room and it wasn’t the best in terms of cleanliness: dirt along the base of the shower, stuff on the walls. Then the next morning, we went down for coffee and to see if there was any breakfast, there wasn’t anything at all. On day of checkout, asked for coffee to make in the room and was given coffee pods but there were no cups and they had no cream or sugar. Would definitely not recommend and we won’t stay at Sonesta again, any location!"
"The property was beautiful and the rooms seem to have been upgraded. Pleasantly surprised that there was a microwave in addition to the minifridge. Ate at Pivot and the portions were large enough that we had leftovers for the next day. This is our new favorite property when we visit the Tri-Valley."
"Very strange check-in encounter.
After confirming I booked/paid for a two bed room with a pool I was given the option to wait for my room or choose a room ready now but without the view. I told them I’d wait.
An older Indian gentlemen’s came over and told me they don’t have anymore rooms with a pool view or rooms with 2 beds. Confused I told him I felt I should get what I paid for. Silence. The. He told me he had “upgraded” me. “For the kids though. If it was for you I would give you ZERO.” As he makes an O with his hand.
I thanked him.
Our room was not an upgrade and looked at a tree and the die of the building.
My 9 yo made a comment that “that man was really mean. Why did he call you a loser?” Interrupte"
"Room was fairly clean but hallways had trash bags on the floor and smelled like multiple types of stale food. Walls of elevator were dirty. When I came back to the property from an errand there were six police cars around the front of the building. Very sketchy! Apparently there was a domestic violence event! Not something you want to see when yo are a lone female!"
