"Decent little hotel, nice enough rooms, friendly enough staff, location is beautiful, food is nice in the restaurants, only a few moans, the length of time it takes to actually get your food is not even funny, we waited 45 minutes just to get our drinks even though it wasn’t that busy, room wasn’t ready on arrival, the usual gripes we all moan about but apart from that its a lovely little place."

"A fantastic base for a great holiday in the lakes. We loved the accommodation and proximity to the steam train ride to Lakeside then the boat ride to Ambleside. "I arrived after 5pm and had not realised Sykes cottages were dealing with the property. It took me two hours to get in because of email issues and also no one to get hold of after hours from Sykes. This needs looking into. The property itself was well worth the hassle I had been through and I will definitely go back for a second visit. It was clean and very quiet. Only issue was recycling I didn’t know what went where. Maybe a sheet telling you what to do. But apart from this would recommend."
