The gardens are huge and the outlook across them and the fields beyond very relaxing, especially on a nice afternoon, when you've returned from work. The bed was comfortable and clean. "It's a great place to stay in the charming town of Chipping Campden. Centrally located on the high street; with parking in the back (not accessible from the high street). The staff were great and the breakfast was wonderful. We stayed in Room 5, which is quite spacious (though on the top level; all stairs). They have some newer "cottages" that look to be accessible for folks who don't want stairs. Some minor negatives: 1) the tea room closes at 5:30 cutting off direct access to the high street;...

"I requested breakfast but was told they didn’t do it anymore. The stairs were cramped with 2 turns and inadequate/absent rails. We did not meet any staff. There was a note saying how we could ring them. The hot and cold water at the wash basin were plumbed in the wrong way round. I did not see any indicator for which was hot or cold. It matters because this is where you fill the kettle. The bed was comfortable and the room was warm."
