"We booked this hotel as on Google Maps it said it was pet friendly. On our booking, we made a note that we were bringing two dogs with us who were very well behaved. Check in was from 3-6pm. We arrived at 5:30pm to no one in reception but our keys were in the apartment. At around 7:30pm a man from reception came up to take our details. "We really enjoyed our stay at Santa Catalina. The room was very nice, well kept and clean. The hotel had a very pleasant vibe. Breakfast was excellent with great variety of options. The service was OK. Great at times and requiring improvement at some instances. We really liked the amenities, including the pools. We found the restrictions on which pools our toddler could use and which not somewhat restrictive. There is absolutely no harm in allowing kids to the soa pool under restricted hours, e.g. morning until 19am. Many other more prestigious hotels do it, why not Santa Catalina. Thankfully staff were accommodating were they could!"
