"First we were overcharged for breakfast and no one could figure out how to return the overcharge. Then our room was not serviced and we didn't learn about that until we return after midnight. Of course there was only one person on staff at that time so my husband had to retrieve clean towels. Before we had left for graduation, I had reported that the toilet seat needed to tighten. And, of course, that had not been done. I was very disappointed by our stay at Hilton Garden Inn in Hoover. It should have been a relaxing stay when celebrating our granddaughter's graduation, but it became a series of frustrations. "

"Parking was very tight and not many open spots. This entire hotel was gross and not clean. Between the lobby, outdoors, inside the rooms, and amenity area, it was gross. There was an odd smell in the room. The shower curtain was dirty and had dried on purple shampoo stuck to it, the shower head leaked, the sink sprayed water EVERYWHERE, and there was a clump of hair in one of the two towels they provided. "

"The property is clean, the staff were very nice, convenient location to UA. Although the property is dated the room was clean and comfortable and the grounds maintained. The cleanliness of the breakfast area was impressive."

"Price very high because of University of Alabama graduation weekend. Room was not well cleaned but staff apologized and took note for housekeeping. One housekeeping worker had to stay late to clean a hallway accident and she was very nice & thorough. Otherwise, with a little more upkeep and freshening it is a great location, good front desk, excellent breakfast choices."
